Pediatrics
The Pediatric Service is responsible for delivering comprehensive healthcare to children from birth up to 15 years of age, encompassing general pediatric care, neonatology, and the treatment of infectious diseases, although not subspecialized. The department addresses the physical, mental, and social well-being of children throughout their developmental stages. Services provided range from preventive healthcare to the diagnosis and management of both acute and chronic illnesses. The pediatric team also considers the biological, social, and environmental factors that influence child development and health outcomes. Recognizing that children differ significantly from adults in terms of anatomy, physiology, immunity, psychology, and metabolism, the service ensures that care is appropriately tailored to meet their unique needs and developmental challenges.
