Nyarugenge District Hospital continues COVID-19 vaccination activities for children between 12 and 17 years of age
Over a period spawning more than a month, we have been and are still conducting COVID-19 vaccination activities, specifically for children between 12 and 17 years of age.
The activities are in line with the Government’s goal, which is to vaccinate all eligible people willing to take the vaccine, and consist of providing both the first and the second doze of the vaccine to the eligible people, as well as the third doze for people with over 3 months of the second doze.
The activities have been of a success since we managed to vaccinate at least an estimated number of 300 children every day on average.
Vaccination activities are still continuing on our site and other sites designed by the ministry of Health and Rwanda Biomedical Center in a bid to minimize the risks of COVID-19 infections and the severity of the pandemic.
